Huddersfield Town have released Episode Four of their official behind-the-scenes series Unrestricted — and I’m incredibly proud to say I was once again asked to provide the narration for this documentary-style installment.
This episode offers a detailed, unfiltered look into the last month at Town, capturing the highs, lows, and defining moments both on and off the pitch. It’s one of the most in-depth releases yet, and narrating it allowed me to explore a more serious, cinematic delivery — a style I’m keen to develop further in my voiceover work.
The Story of the Month — On the Pitch
This episode charts a challenging and emotional stretch of fixtures for Huddersfield Town, including:
A Yorkshire derby trip to Bradford City
A home battle with Manchester City in the Carabao Cup
Key league games against Stockport County, Bolton Wanderers, Harrogate Town and Exeter City
Moments of frustration, resilience, and unity across a packed run of competitive fixtures
These matches set the backdrop for a narrative of grit, reflection, and renewal — shaping the serious tone of the voiceover throughout the episode.
Beyond the Results — Inside the Dressing Room
As always with Unrestricted, the match footage is only part of the story. This episode also includes:
Manager reactions after difficult defeats
Player reflections on performances and development
Insight into preparation routines and tactical work behind closed doors
It’s honest, open and grounded — making the narration feel more like documentary storytelling than traditional football voiceover.
Community Matters — A Tribute to Denis Law
One of the most powerful sequences in this episode focuses on Huddersfield Town’s ongoing work in the community, including the remarkable efforts around the club’s “Walk for Denis” initiative.
Supporters and staff came together to honour Town legend Denis Law, raising over £49,000 for Alzheimer’s Society.
Narrating this section required a respectful and warm tone — different from the intensity of match narration — and it was a privilege to help give voice to such an important moment.

A Different Style of Voiceover
Most listeners know me for upbeat, friendly, energetic reads — very different from the tone needed for this project. Unrestricted called for something else entirely:
serious
steady
observational
documentary-focused
emotionally grounded
It’s a style I’ve worked hard to develop, and I’m really pleased with how it comes across in this episode.
If you’re looking for a voice that can deliver documentary narration, long-form storytelling or cinematic sports content, I’d love to work with you.
Work With Me
Narration and documentary voiceover is an area I’m continuing to grow in. If you are producing:
Sports documentaries
Behind-the-scenes content
Corporate films
Charity or community storytelling
Club or team features
Long-form narrative video
…I’d be delighted to help bring your project to life.
