I’m pleased to share one of my recent voiceover projects — providing the voiceover for the Let’s Rock Huddersfield TV commercial.
Let’s Rock Huddersfield brings the festival’s feel-good retro energy to Accu Stadium, with a full day of live music, familiar hits and big-name artists heading to the town in 2026.
For this commercial, the voiceover needed to match the mood of the event: bright, upbeat, clear and full of momentum.
A TV commercial has to do a lot in a short space of time. It needs to grab attention, deliver the key information clearly and help the viewer feel the atmosphere before they have even bought a ticket.
That is one of the most enjoyable parts of commercial voiceover work. You are not just delivering a script — you are helping shape the energy of the campaign.
With Let’s Rock Huddersfield, the brief called for a confident, lively delivery with a strong broadcast feel. The read needed pace and personality, while still leaving room for the visuals, music and event message to do their job.
My background in radio is a big part of how I approach this kind of work. Commercial reads need timing, confidence and warmth, but they also need control. The delivery has to feel upbeat without getting in the way of the message.
It was a great project to be part of, and another example of the kind of voiceover work I enjoy: commercial, clear, energetic and built around a strong sense of audience.
